Cigar Snob or Cigar Excellence? Bellas Artes Maduro...
We've told you about AJ Fernandez many times but sometimes we think you might need a little refresher about the cigars that are wildly popular in the cigar world that are also in our humidor. With AJ Fernandez, there is no exception. A name HUGE in the cigar industry and an individual sought out for his creative thinking and masterful blending. It might not say "AJ Fernandez" on the band or box, but there's a very good chance you're smoking something he created for someone else. We've told you about his accolades in the past, so let's jump right into todays cigar, the AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes Maduro.
Cigar Snob Magazine just gave it the No.4 spot on their Top 25 List of 2022, specifically the 6x54 Toro. The entire Bellas Artes line is named for the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana, a historic art museum in Havana, Cuba. Fittingly, there’s no question the Bellas Artes Maduro is an attractive smoke like that of a beautiful painting. A cigar thats draped in a beautiful Brazilian Maduro wrapper with the seamless sheen and appearance of a fine chocolate bar.
Ideal for colder weather smoking due to it's thick wrapper, this cigar holds up to the "cold" Arizona morning golf tee times, or those that believe 50-60 degree highs here in Arizona requires you to still wear military issued cold weather gear (LOL).

Cut & Cold Draw:
The Bellas Artes Maduro ignites the taste buds with flavors of roasted espresso, wood and hints of dark cherry that linger ever so lightly before even toasting this cigar on the cold draw. Rich, thick beautiful smoke filsl the air leaving a pleasant aroma from a proper light. Use you lighter wrong and scorch your cigar like stick it in the flame of the jets from an F-22 Raptor and well, you haven't watch our videos on how to properly light your stick. Hint Hint!
Cigar Enjoyment:
Throughout the entire cigar, the Bellas Artes Maduro gives you a rich dark sweetness with every puff, but not to be confused with an artificial sweetness with "flavored" cigars. Black pepper and baking spices remain intertwined in the layers of this AJ creation, like a fine piece of art that keeps your busy just by looking at it. The final 3rd develops a nice hickory and molasses combo on the palate, a pleasing way to finish an incredible cigar.
Pairing:
Just enjoying this cigar looking at our beer cooler, we can tell you pairing this with a Guinness or even the Koffee Kolsch we have from Huss Brewing Co. on tap... #WINNING!
Grab a box today or mix some in with our current weekly deals (2/6/2023). This cigar could easily be in any persons rotation. Not overpowering at all with a clean finish that doesn't hang around on the palate hours later. The AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes Maduro is definitely cigar "excellence".
