PERDOMO 10TH ANNIVERSARY CHAMPAGNE

It's no secret that we sell A LOT of Perdomo and it’s only fitting you get get some additional information on probably the top selling series in the brand, the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Champagne. First let's talk about Nick Perdomo himself for a second.
For the past 30 years, Nick Perdomo has masterfully straddled the barrier of value and allure with Perdomo Cigars. He owns his own factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, and has done a heck of a job building his cigar portfolio into a popular brand. Not only does Nick maintain impeccable standards, (we're talking the highest in the industry) for the construction and quality of his cigars, but he keeps the prices low without compromising taste. Fact... Perdomo Cigars cut out the Federal SCHIP (State Children’s Health Care Initiative Program) tax out of it's cigars when it went into effect in April of 2009, deciding to pay it themselves without adding it into the price of the cigars which would cause both us and you as consumers having to pay more for you stick. Yes every Perdomo you purchase could be an additional 40.26 cents more at the register, but its not! Let me tell you as a retailer, we don't know of any other brand that does this. Every invoice from Perdomo tells us how much you as the customer are saving because they pay this tax so your cigars don't cost more just because of the Federal Government. Now back to the cigar...
You wont find Perdomo in a shop without the 10th Anniversary Champagne. This cigar is a medium bodied gem that can be enjoyed practically anytime of the day. At first glance, the most noticeable impression comes from the yellow tinted color of the cellophane on Champagne line of cigars. Did you know it's not just about the color of the cellophane, but in fact it's a UV protectant on these cigars. Perdomo makes all their own cellophane and this one was created so the lights in a store humidor doesn't alter the color of the cigar wrapper (which can happen). That's dedication!
On the cold draw, the Champagne delivers a bit of woody sweetness in our opinion and inside is a richness from the Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos under the cigar’s Connecticut wrapper. Throughout this cigar you'll find a combination of notes from orange peel, spicy hints of molasses and cashews. Get into the second third and final third we notice some notes of black pepper, but that of which is not overwhelming at all.
Don't be fooled by the looks of this cigar. A lot of cigar smokers judge a book by its cover and think this cigar will be too light for their palate. Whether you're a part-time cigar connoisseur or enjoy a fantastic stick on the regular, this stick should absolutely be in your rotation and offers tasting notes for even those who say "I only smoke dark cigars".
With New Years Eve just 2 days away, we think this is a fantastic kind of "Champagne" you should be celebrating with!
