Nick Perdomo, Sr. pioneered the project in 2000 as he and his son Nick, Jr. worked closely together to develop one of the families’ most prestigious farms in Estelí, Nicaragua. Similar to a wine maker’s single vineyard reserve, Perdomo Lot 23 utilizes tobaccos that are grown exclusively on the same plot of land. The secret to the success of Lot 23 line is the special blending of 5-year aged Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobaccos that come from this extremely fertile farm.

What makes 5 year aged tobacco's so special?  Well let me put this in context to another major cigar brand that starts with “P” a lot of people know, that has a certain dated series that is "individually hand-crafted from tobacco aged five years".  Super special right?  Now while this other brand creates cigars that are quite tasty, they are also about twice the cost for a stick smaller than a Perdomo 5x50 Lot 23 Robusto.
